How long is too long

Long nails are amazing no doubt but there are some that make me wonder what the goal is. What I mean is, some length is fantastic but over a certain length they just look wrong. At least to me that is.

I saw someone with very long nail the other day. Somewhere in the 4 - 5 inches range. It looked wrong. Yes they were painted and well manicured but the length was off putting.

I understand everyone has different likes and not everyone will like the same. After all it's our differences that keep us interesting right?

Maybe it's just that I'm not used to the ultra length. Maybe the more exposure to them I have the more I will be inclined to like them.

I suppose the one advantage of the ultra long nail is you have more surface area with which to do art on.

At this point I have to say I'm not a fan if the ultra long nail. Maybe that will change. Time will tell

I'm not odd

I used to think that maybe my live of nails was a little odd. I mean it's not something many people are into. Or so I thought. I've recently discovered in not alone in my passion for all things nails. I've discovered an amazingly little community of nail-o-philes on twitter and instagram. I'm now following many of them. They have such amazing talent and skill. I can only hope that one day I come close to their levels of amazingness. Until I learn to do manicures properly I shall admire from afar, sporadically posting badly painted nails I attempt to do. Hopefully they accept me into their world and we can share the beautiful world if nails together. :-)

Wow I suck at this updating thing

Oh what grand plans of nail based blogging I had! The reality is it all fell on the back burner.

I wish I could say that yes, I will update this more but to be honest I'm unsure that will actually happen.

I need to learn to do nails properly. Once I get the fundamentals down I can update more. Especially as I practice and learn. I would love to be working in the industry too. Sadly that's not the case.

Looking at the statistics of the page, it's clear no one has ever visited so I guess it's a good thing no one has notices the extremely poor updating performance!

Bio Sculpture Gel nails

If you haven't heard of this before then do your nails a treat and seek them out! True gel nails. No smell. Long lasting, up to 3 weeks without chipping. Best of all, no need to destroy your natural nail like acrylic does, in fact, your nails come out better than before you had the treatment. Bio sculpture gel actually nourishes the natural nail. This stuff is awesomely amazingly and had a whole stack of colours to pick from.
I <3 them
